'KALEIDOSCOPE'

In some brief moments
the universe splits
a wavering tear and I step into
the tapestry of lights and colors and

new sensations. A
kaleidoscope as silent as
the mind and long shadows.

In other moments not so brief
I am longing for reality
with all of its promise of
coffee in the morning and

sunlight filtering through
trees thick with green
leaves on
warm spring days.
